Endian UTM 2.4 Released
Endian, the leader in open source UTM and network security solutions, is proud to announce the release of UTM 2.4,
the new and innovative version of Endian’s Unified Threat Management Software.

Revamped Hotspot
Endian Hotspot has been significantly upgraded with the new SmartConnect feature that enables self-service, easy and secure wireless Internet connection. Now Hotspot users can create their own account, choose their preferred payment method (PayPal / Credit Card), and then quickly receive their login credentials via SMS. In addition, we now support Hotspot Satellites which extends the Hotspot’s flexibility. You can now centrally manage and control the user authentication and portal configuration of a large number of Endian Hotspot devices from one location.

Virtual Appliances
UTM 2.4 officially introduces Endian to the world of virtualization. The new family of Virtual Appliances supports most hypervisor-based virtual platforms and is officially certified as VMware ready. Users can now easily run a fully operational Endian UTM appliance in their virtual environment, protecting the virtual infrastructure from any potential threats with maximum reliability and effectiveness.

UTM 2.4 also includes improvements for OpenVPN and IPsec, as well as the new Web console and a new new kernel for maximum hardware compatibility.
